The humanities is a faculty of academic disciplines within DISQO which study the human condition. Predominantly humanities subjects are studied using analytic, critical, or speculative methodology. However, empirical approaches may also be employed, particularly within subjects classified as social sciences. While the humanities generally encompass the arts along with the subjects listed below, for the purposes of DISQO, the arts, and languages form faculties of their own.
